CONDITIONS OF SALE
Aste Dolomia’s Conditions of sale are set out later in this catalogue. Bidders are strongly encouraged to read these as they set out the terms on which property is bought at auction.
ESTIMATES AND RESERVES
The estimates regarding the possible sale price of each lot are expressed in Euro and are printed under their description in the catalogue and are not inclusive of commissions payable by the Buyer to Aste Dolomia. Estimates are subject to revision at any moment, so that the lots may be offered at the auction at a price different from that indicated in the catalogue. The reserve is the confidential minimum price the consignor will accept and will not exceed the low presale estimate. Lots that are not subject to a reserve are identified by the letters (SR) and are signed in red.
BUYER’S PREMIUM
Aste Dolomia charges a premium to the buyer on the final hammer price of each lot sold at the following rates:
- Hammer price
- 25% of the final bid price of each lot up to and including Euro 50.000,00
- 22% of the excess of the hammer price above Euro 50.000,00.
Taxes are enclose in premium at the applicable rate. If in the catalogue, in relation to specific lots, are indicated different percentages from those given below in reference to the buyer's premium, the percentages listed in the catalog will be considered prevalent.
Regime IVA (VAT Margin Scheme)
In addition to the hammer price, the Buyer shall pay to Aste Dolomia, for each lot, a premium equal to 25% of the hammer price up to Euro 50.000,00, and equal to 22% of the balance of the hammer price above that sum. On these premiums, Aste Dolomia will apply the margin scheme. Sales made by Aste Dolomia under commission with private costumers or tax entities, operating in the margin scheme, they are subject to the margin scheme, set out in Article. 40bis DL 41/95, amended by art. 45 L.n. 342 of 21/11/2000. For those sales, Aste Dolomia will not apply either VAT on services rendered to the Buyer, or VAT on the hammer price. Such a VAT system does not apply to sales of goods from VAT subjects who have already deducted the tax on the purchase and sales of goods in temporary importation, cases governed by the general regulations. In certain cases identified by a symbol (as following a-b), VAT continues to be charged:
a) Lot with symbol (⍺) or (∆)
(⍺) indicates that the batch comes from sellers "subject to VAT" which does not operate according to the "margin scheme"
(∆) Stock lot Aste Dolomia, outside the margin scheme.
The total amount paid by the buyer, for each lot, is therefore made up of:
- Hammer Price
- 20,00% of the hammer price up to an amount of Euro 50.000,00
- 17,60% on Euro 50,000.00 figure holding
- 22% tax on the Auction commission
- 22% VAT on the hammer price. The VAT on the hammer price is refundable only in the event of proven Extra-EU exports occurred within three months from the date of sale, which the documentation is received at Aste Dolomia within four months from that date. The VAT on commissions and on the hammer price is not applicable to not Italian individuals resident in EU VAT countries.
b) Lot with symbol (TI) indicates that the lot is in temporary importation given us by the seller Extra-EU.
The total amount paid by the buyer, for each lot, is therefore made up of:
- Hammer Price
- 20,00% of the hammer price up to an amount of Euro 50.000,00
- 17,60% in the hammer price in excess of Euro 50,000.00
- 22% tax on the Auction commission, not applicable to entities from non-EU. It is also not applicable on condition that the goods must have the customs-import
- 10% VAT on the hammer price (deposit for payment Customs VAT). The VAT on the hammer price is refundable only in case of proven re-Extra EU took place within three months from the date of sale of which was received documentation to Aste Dolomia within four months from that date of sale.
- Any default interest on VAT as of the date of importation as well as other expenses, including those related to the transformation of customs practice for permanent importation. The cost of the practice of customs agent for the temporary importation of a final transformation is approximately Euro 350,00.
These lots cannot be collect by the buyer until the complete transformation of the practice of temporary export in definitive, for which you need at least 30 days. To start the process it must have been paid the purchase invoice and anticipate expenses for the transformation.
PRE-AUCTIONS VIEWING
Pre-auction viewing are open to the public free of charge, with time indicated in the first page of the catalogue.
BIDDER REGISTRATION
Prospective buyers should register for a numbered bidding paddle before the sale, filling a ‘Bid form’ providing its number of identity card and tax code. New client, or those who have not made a recent purchase at Aste Dolomia, will be asked to supply a bank reference to register send to the attention of Aste Dolomia, nr. 26/28, St. Maria Rd, 38068 Rovereto (TN).
ABSENTEE AND TELEPHONE BIDS
Absentee bids are written instructions from prospective buyers directing Aste Dolomia to bid on their behalf up to a maximum amount specified for each lot. Aste Dolomia offers all absentee and telephone bidding services as a convenience to our client, but will not be responsible for errors or failures to execute bids.
Absentee bids will be executed at the lowest possible price taking in to account the reserve price. Absentee bids on lots without reserve will be awarded to approximately 50% of the minimum estimate or the corresponding amount previously specified in the form, also if lower of the minimum estimate.
Telephone bids may be recorded. By bidding on the telephone, prospective purchasers consent to the recording of their conversations. Telephone bids cannot be accepted for lots estimated below Euro 300,00, for which is accepted a written bid. Bids are in Euro and must be confirmed by filling the Bid form.
AWARDS
The hammer's hit marks the sold lot and the acceptance of the highest bid and the conclusion of a contract for sale between the seller and the buyer. The results of the sale will be sent after the auction. Buyers will need to pay the hammer price plus the auction commission plus VAT where applicable.
PAYMENT
The buyer must pay the full amount due (comprising the hammer price, buyer’s premium and any applicable taxes) not later than seventh calendar day following the sale.
Payment may be made by:
a) Cash, up to Euro 5.000,00;
b) Credit card (Visa e Mastercard) and payment card in Aste Dolomia Office or by PayPal. For any payment by credit card or payment card will apply a surcharge of 3%;
c) bank check and/or personal check non-transferable made out to Aste Dolomia;
d) bank transfer

The buyer will not acquire title to the lot until we have received all amounts due to us from the buyer by us in good cleared funds. Payment is intended as valid when Aste Dolomia's bank has confirmed the good results of the check and / or accreditation. The payment of the purchased lots will be made in Euros. The equivalent amount in other currencies will be accepted only in reference to the currency of the day when the payment will be made.
COLLECTION OF PURCHASES LOTS
The collection of the lots can be made immediately after purchase, after showing the total payment of the hammer price and auction fees.
Collection of purchases lots with delegation
If the buyer asks to a third person to collect purchased lots already paid, it is necessary that the latter is provided with written proxy by the buyer with also a copy of his document, together with the collecting permission issued by the Administration.
SHIPPING
On request, Aste Dolomia will arrange, at the pre-paid expense and risk of the Buyer, packaging, transport and insurance of the lots, the cost of which will be calculated from time to time.
AFTER THE SALE
Aste Dolomia will guard purchased lots at no extra charge and under the responsibility of Aste Dolomia for seven days after the sale. After this period Aste Dolomia no longer held to the custody or be liable for any damage to purchased lots. Such damages will therefore be the sole responsibility of Buyer, or Seller if unsold.
